What is the Wyndham Learning Festival?
The annual Wyndham Learning Festival is a whole of community event that provides opportunities for FREE learning activities across the City of Wyndham across eight consecutive days annually. The festival has activities for all ages and interests, promoting lifelong learning for all and welcoming new events, sponsors and participants to reflect this diverse and dynamic learning community.
Now in its fifth year, the 2020 Wyndham Learning Festival will be a fully virtual event in response to COVID-19 restrictions and supporting our community to feel safe while still being connected and engaged in learning. The festival is jointly run through a partnership between Wyndham Community & Education Centre and Wyndham City. The sponsor of the 2020 Wyndham Learning Festival is VU Polytechnic.
There are many free events offered for all ages including yoga, cooking, webinars on parenting young children, financial literacy, robotics, karate, library Storytimes, tips on starting a business for migrants and refugees, a languages factory, a young filmmakers of Wyndham competition, cultural lantern making and a signature storytelling event where you can sing, laugh and learn from the wonderful author and singer, Clare Bowditch. Check out the WLF Facebook page or our calendar of events on this website to see the events on offer and to register for the various activities and sessions in 2020.
