The Global Network of Learning Cities, which includes Wyndham, is currently holding a Cluster Conference on ‘Strengthening Citizenship Education at the Local Level’, organized by the cities of Larissa (Greece) and Yeonsu-Gu (Republic of Korea) with the support of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning.
Renowned experts will give key note presentations, linking citizenship education to a range of issues such as environmental sustainability, human rights and democracy, participation of vulnerable groups, culture and local traditions, and digital developments, among others. Cluster members will share practical approaches of how they strengthen citizenship within their cities. On the second day, a youth forum will be organized with young people from all around the world, sharing highlights from their work and experiences in citizenship education.

There is an incredible suite of different event offerings for the whole community, ranging from health and wellbeing classes, various talks on themes including peace, adolescence and storytelling, and workshops to support the community to develop lifelong skills in making and creating. With our theme 'healthy learning, healthy lives', the festival, which runs from 23-30 November 2020, is jam-packed with free events showcasing how learning is good for your health.
